What appliances is the TI 500 recommended for?

The TI 500 is the right choice for lighter appliances — a KitchenAid stand mixer (typically 300W), a record player, a small TV, a guitar amp, or audio equipment. Device that run continuously under 400W, with a peak of 500W for small surges.

I just moved to Germany — will it work straight out of the box?

Yes. Select 230V at the back of the TI 500 and plug it into a German wall socket, then plug your US appliance into the TI 500 and switch it on. The TI 500 is designed to let US appliances operate safely on German power. It works with most household appliances, electronics, audio equipment, and kitchen devices.

Can I run two appliances through it at once?

Only if their combined wattage stays within the continuous working capacity — and the TI 500's safe continuous limit is lower than the 500W peak figure on the label.

In practice, one appliance at a time is the right approach for this size. If you regularly need to run multiple devices simultaneously, look at the TI 1000 or TI 2000, which have additional output sockets.

Toroidal-Core Construction, 98% Efficiency

Inside the TI 500 is a toroidal transformer core — copper windings wrapped around a closed magnetic ring. The topology reduces stray losses and keeps mechanical hum low under load, with measured efficiency at 98%.

The output remains a stable sine wave suitable for audio equipment, laboratory instruments, motors, and other waveform-sensitive devices. Under continuous operation, the enclosure also runs cooler than many conventional transformer designs of similar size.

Resettable breaker, no fuse swapping.

Overload protection is handled by a resettable circuit breaker mounted directly on the unit rather than a replaceable glass fuse. If the load exceeds the rated limit, the breaker trips mechanically and can be reset by hand once the fault condition is cleared.

No fuse replacement, service visit, or enclosure disassembly is required. For temporary overloads or startup surges from high-inrush appliances, the unit can be returned to operation immediately after reset.
