Can I use the Bronson TI 200 as a voltage transformer for US audio gear?

Yes — 100W-class audio devices sit within the TI 200's 160W continuous rating.

A 100W Fender practice amp or small studio monitors run with headroom; the toroidal core delivers a clean sine wave with low mechanical hum. For amplifiers above roughly 130W, the TI 300 or TI 500 give more reserve.

Is the Bronson TI 200 galvanically isolated?

No — the TI 200 is an autotransformer without galvanic isolation.

Primary and secondary share one winding, so there is no isolated ground path. If you need galvanic isolation for bench or measurement work, the MII or TT line is built for that.

Do I need to set the input voltage on the TI 200 manually?

Yes — set the input switch to match your local voltage (110V or 230V) before connecting a device.

The TI 200 is bidirectional: with the switch set correctly it steps 110V up to 230V or 230V down to 110V.

Can I replace the TI 200's fuse myself?

Yes — the fuse holder is accessible from outside and four spare fuses are included.

The TI 200 uses a 2A fuse. If the load exceeds the limit, the fuse cuts power silently — the device simply stops. Check the fuse first before other troubleshooting.

Inside the TI 200, a toroidal transformer winds its copper coils around a closed magnetic ring and reaches a measured efficiency of 98% while keeping the core compact. That cuts stray losses and keeps mechanical hum low under load; the housing stays cooler in continuous use, and the output delivers a stable sine wave for audio equipment and lab instruments.

On-Board Fuse Plus Four Spare Fuses

A 2A fuse sits on the output side of the TI 200, held in a fuse holder you can reach from outside, and the unit ships with four matching spare fuses in the box. When the load passes the limit, the fuse cuts the current before it reaches your device. Replacement takes seconds and needs no workshop.
