What appliances is the TI 1500 the right size for?

The TI 1500 covers appliances drawing 700W to around 1,200W continuously. A 1,000W espresso machine, a printer used regularly, a sewing machine, or a power tool under sustained load all sit in this range. For appliances above 1,200W continuous, the TI 2000 is the right step.

The label on my appliance shows a wattage range — which figure do I use?

Use the higher figure. Appliances with variable loads — a sewing machine at different speeds, a power tool at different depths of cut — show a range because the power drawn varies with use. The transformer needs to handle the maximum your appliance can draw, not its average. If the label shows “800–1,200W", size your transformer for 1,200W.

I have a Thermomix I bought in Mexico — it's 1,000W. Will the TI 1500 cover it?

Yes. A 1,000W Thermomix sits within the TI 1500's continuous capacity with 200W of headroom. The TI 1500 handles this use case reliably — buyers run Mexican and US kitchen appliances of this class on it for years. Toroidal-Core Construction, 98% Efficiency

Inside the TI 1500 is a toroidal transformer core — copper windings wrapped around a closed magnetic ring. The topology reduces stray losses and keeps mechanical hum low under load, with measured efficiency at 98%.

The output remains a stable sine wave suitable for audio equipment, laboratory instruments, motors, and other waveform-sensitive devices. Under continuous operation, the enclosure also runs cooler than many conventional transformer designs of similar size.

Resettable breaker, no fuse swapping.

Overload protection is handled by a resettable circuit breaker mounted directly on the unit rather than a replaceable glass fuse. If the load exceeds the rated limit, the breaker trips mechanically and can be reset by hand once the fault condition is cleared.

No fuse replacement, service visit, or enclosure disassembly is required. For temporary overloads or startup surges from high-inrush appliances, the unit can be returned to operation immediately after reset.
