Bronson TT 5000 — Isolation Transformer 5000W

Industrial 230V isolation transformer with galvanic isolation for marine, EV charging, and industry. 5000W max, 4000W continuous.

5000W max / 4000W continuous — fan-cooled

The TT 5000 delivers 4000W continuous load and up to 5000W short-term. A temperature-controlled fan holds the continuous load steady even with high-power industrial and marine equipment.

230V ↔ 230V — galvanic isolation, PE screen

As a toroidal transformer the TT 5000 isolates the output galvanically from the 230V supply (1:1, 98%). An electrostatic screen on PE keeps interference off; the floating output suits onboard shore power.

Terminal input + Schuko/UK, 15A/socket

The TT 5000 is fed through a screw terminal (no IEC plug). The output provides Schuko Type F, UK Type G, and a screw terminal. Each socket is fused at 15A (up to 3450W per socket).

Can I use the TT 5000 as a polarization transformer for a wallbox (split-phase to L/N)?

Yes. The TT 5000 creates an isolated 230V circuit with a defined neutral for a wallbox from a split-phase source.

The 240V between L1 and L2 serve as the input; the floating secondary neutral is referenced to PE. That gives the wallbox a clean L-N reference.

Does the TT 5000 hold 4000W continuously?

Yes. A temperature-controlled fan cools the toroidal core and holds 4000W continuous load over long run times.

Up to 5000W is available short-term; the maximum load runs for up to 15 minutes, after which the 4000W continuous rating applies.

Is the TT 5000 suitable as an isolation transformer for onboard shore power?

Yes. The TT 5000 isolates the onboard system galvanically from shore power and prevents galvanic corrosion.

The floating output breaks the earth path between boat and shore connection. For an onboard install with special grounding, check with us first.

How is the TT 5000 output protected?

Each output socket is fused at 15A (up to 3450W per socket); the input at 25A.

A short circuit on one device trips only the affected socket. The TT 5000 has no soft-start; size the upstream breaker accordingly.

Designed for wall mounting

The TT 5000 enclosure is designed for wall mounting and bolts down fixed. The screw-terminal input allows a permanently wired installation. That puts the 21.6 kg isolation transformer on the wall, space-saving and secure — in an engine room, plant room, or at the charging station.

Per-socket protection

Each output socket is protected by its own 15A circuit breaker (up to 3450W per socket); the input has a 25A breaker. A short circuit on one load trips only the affected socket, without interrupting the entire isolated network.
