8000W max / 6400W continuous — fan-cooled

The TT 8000 delivers 6400W continuous load and up to 8000W short-term. A temperature-controlled fan holds the output steady for production lines, large vessels, and data centers.

230V ↔ 230V — galvanic isolation, PE screen

As a toroidal transformer the TT 8000 isolates the output galvanically from the 230V supply (1:1, 98%). An electrostatic screen on PE keeps interference off and protects critical equipment from line-side faults.

Terminal input 32A + Schuko/UK, no IEC

The TT 8000 is fed through a screw terminal fused at 32A (no IEC plug). The output provides Schuko Type F, UK Type G, and a screw terminal. Each socket is fused at 15A (up to 3450W).

Frequently asked questions

Can the TT 8000 derive usable 230V for European equipment from a US split-phase supply?

Yes. The 240V between the two US line conductors (L1–L2) serve as the input, and the TT 8000 delivers isolated 230V from it.

The floating secondary is referenced to PE through a defined neutral. A US split-phase source then supplies European 230V equipment through a clean L-N output.

What upstream protection does the TT 8000 need?

The input uses a 32A circuit breaker; the building's upstream fuse should match it.

At 8000W max that is around 35A on the 230V side. If the upstream fuse trips at switch-on, choose one with a suitable trip curve.

Does the TT 8000 provide full galvanic isolation for critical equipment?

Yes. The primary and secondary windings are fully separated and the output floats.

In production, a data center, or aboard, that protects critical equipment from line-side faults and breaks the earth path. The output is a true isolation transformer, not an autotransformer.

Can the TT 8000 run in an enclosed cabinet?

Only with adequate ventilation. The TT 8000 has a temperature-controlled fan and needs free air circulation.

In a closed cabinet the waste heat must be removed. Mount it upright with a clear airflow path; check with us for install questions.

Toroidal core construction

The TT 8000 is built as a toroidal transformer and reaches 98% efficiency with low stray losses. Compared with a conventional laminated core, it produces less waste heat and runs quieter under load.

Designed for wall mounting

The TT 8000 enclosure is designed for wall mounting and bolts down fixed. The input is a screw terminal for a permanent installation. That puts the 30.6 kg isolation transformer on the wall — in production, a plant room, or a data center — without taking floor space.
