The TT 1000 delivers 800W continuous load and up to 1000W short-term. It runs larger hi-fi systems, test benches, and several workshop devices at once. An overheat cutoff guards continuous operation.

230V ↔ 230V — toroidal core, 98% efficiency

As a toroidal transformer the TT 1000 converts at a 1:1 ratio with 98% efficiency. The galvanic isolation keeps the output floating, with no reference to the 230V supply.

IEC input, Schuko-F + terminal output

The input takes an IEC cable with a Schuko Type F plug. The output provides a Schuko Type F socket and a screw terminal. The TT 1000 runs on 230V supplies at 50/60 Hz.

Frequently asked questions

Does the TT 1000 have inrush current limiting?

No. The TT 1000 has no soft-start.

At switch-on the toroidal core draws a short, high magnetizing current by design. On a standard household breaker this is uncritical; only very sensitive trip curves react to it.

Does the TT 1000 run warm or hum under load?

No, there is no disturbing hum up to the 800W continuous load.

The toroidal core runs at 98% efficiency and produces little waste heat. Compared with a switch-mode supply there is no whine or clicking.

Is the TT 1000 galvanically isolated?

Yes. The primary and secondary windings are fully separated and the output floats.

The TT 1000 is a true isolation transformer (1:1), not an autotransformer. That protects you when working on open 230V equipment and prevents earth loops.

Is the TT 1000 suitable for vintage hi-fi and tape decks?

Yes. The TT 1000 isolates audio gear from the 230V supply and removes line-borne hum.

For a tape deck or an older stereo system it delivers 800W continuous load; the electrostatic screen additionally keeps line interference off the signal.

Toroidal core construction

The TT 1000 is built as a toroidal transformer. The ring-core construction has low stray losses and reaches 98% efficiency. That produces less heat under load, and the transformer runs without hum up to the 800W continuous load — unlike a switch-mode supply with audible whine.

Electrostatic screen bonded to PE

An electrostatic screen between the primary and secondary windings is bonded to protective earth (PE) and drains high-frequency line interference to earth. At the output the 230V signal stays cleaner, which reduces coupled line noise when running sensitive audio and recording equipment.
