Can I connect a Bronson VC 3000 ahead of the MII 3000?

Yes, a Bronson VC 3000 can be connected ahead of the MII 3000.

The VC 3000 (variable transformer) sets the voltage and the MII 3000 isolates it galvanically — giving you an adjustable, floating output voltage, for example on test and lab setups.

Are the MII 3000 terminals labeled?

Yes, the terminal assignment is printed directly on the MII 3000 housing.

Input and output (L/N, L1/N1, L2/N2) are marked at the screw terminal, so the wiring can be assigned without a separate datasheet.

Can the MII 3000 be installed after an inverter?

Yes, the MII 3000 can be installed as an isolation transformer after an inverter.

For a defined ground, the secondary neutral can be bonded to earth via an earth rod. This creates a clean, galvanically isolated 230V system downstream of the inverter.

Galvanic isolation halts hull corrosion

Separate primary and secondary windings break every continuous conductor between shore power and the on-board system. The output stays floating, with no reference to the dock's earth. At the dock this stops the equalizing current across hull and anchor that slowly eats metal away. On stage and at events the same isolation keeps crew and gear off the line reference.

110/230V shore power — auto-selected

The MII 3000 takes 110V or 230V shore power without a selector switch. The winding reads the applied voltage and sets the output: it doubles 110V and carries 230V through one-to-one. When a vessel moves between US and EU harbors, the same unit delivers isolated 230V on board on either grid — with no rewiring and no second converter.
